Charity L. Pitts, Paraoptometric, CPOA -
Charity studied Graphic Design at Delta State University, and Paraoptometrics through the American Optometric Association, as well as the Commission of Paraoptometrics. She extended her studies from the certification of CPO and became a CPOA in the study of Paraoptometry.
She has studied many areas of the eye, including the anatomy and
physiology of the eye, functions of anatomical structures, ocular
pharmacology, pathological and functional disorders, refractive status
of the eye and binocularity, visual acuity, color vision, pupillary
responses, diseases of the eye, Glaucoma and treatment, macular
degeneration, sphygomomanometry, and testing therapies. Charity is also
certified in Ocular Coherence Tomography, Visual Field testing, VEP
testing, infections of the eye, post vitreous detachments, and foreign
body removal. She is also certified in contact lens fitting and
dispensing, as well as optical measurement, fitting, and dispensing.
Charity has been with Clarksdale Vision Center since 2003. She also has
the distinction of serving on the American Optometric Association PRC
In addition to her position as Paraoptometric, Charity is also
the interior decorator for Clarksdale Vision Center. Charity enjoys art
in all forms and incorporates it into her love for optometry. She is
responsible for the fabulous displays you see in our window and the
interior designs that change with the seasons. She makes sure there is
always something new to see at CVC!
